"I am so grateful for a school that is focused on giving kids their best every day. Having our son attend Virginia Academy has been a wonderful experience. The academic challenge here is much greater than the private schools he has attended in the area. We were recently presented with a challenging dynamic, for which I was extremely pleased with the support and speed for which the teacher, principal, and even the headmaster intervened to provide. This level of caring and dedication from the teachers and administration helps both our child and our family know that we've chosen the right school. Thank you, Virginia Academy!"

At Virginia Academy we believe secondary education provides us a great opportunity not only to see students be prepared for and accepted by the top colleges around the United States but also graduate and make a significant contribution to society to the glory of God. We desire to graduate well rounded, young men and women who are great thinkers and problem solvers who have an entrepreneurial spirit and ability to use the latest in technological advances, to help lead while also having the desire to serve God and others.
Therefore, in the upper school grades (6th – HS) we provide all our students exposure to the latest in technological advances and scientific thought through STEM education while also providing a variety of character and leadership development and extracurricular programs and activities (including music, drama, interscholastic sports, etc.) along with courses in Bible, math, science, English, social studies, and foreign language. As early as sixth grade, students are challenged to excel at the highest level and seek the most rigorous academic courses possible to earn needed high school credits for graduation and college preparation and acceptance. In high school grades, honors and AP courses are available as well as college - credit bearing courses through our concurrent enrollment program and membership with the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP). A variety of electives help to round out an education sure to help students find their individual greatness. For detailed informaton about courses, testing, extracurricular activities, and graduation requirements please, take a look at our upper school program guide.
